The holiday season is upon us I would like to take the opportunity to wish you and your families a healthy, happy and peaceful season and may your New Year bring you countless blessings!

On December 11 through January 8, Iwill be on the east coast to be with family and friends. I will also be on a book tour for my book SOULFUL SICILIAN COOKING  and one singing engagement; all will take place in New York. (See my cookbook page)

Welcome everyone! It is wonderfully exciting to be sharing my first blog with you. As the celebration of Ferragosto on August 15th is nearing, for the people in Italy, here is a photo of me with relatives working in the mountainous country fields, above Taormina and Castelmola, Sicily, shafting and collecting bundles of wheat at this time of the year. Reminiscing with loving memories! This was a fertile time of collecting recipes for my cookbook, SOULFUL SICILIAN COOKING, being released very, very soon.
